Spider-Man visited our special playscheme day to encourage children to do good in their neighbourhood! Each of these children were nominated by their schools as being particularly deserving of a special day out. The unsuspecting children started their day helping with planting and painting a Superhero themed mural to brighten up the walls of Jubilee Primary’s playground.
When lunch time came, to the children’s surprised, Andrew Garfield arrived with pizza for everyone, dressed in his Spiderman costume!
After getting to know each other over pizza, the amaze-struck children went outside to test his basketball skills and show off their morning’s work of painting and planting. The children were really taken by Andrew and he was in good spirits as he signed autographs and answered their numerous questions about Spiderman’s life of crime-fighting.
Suddenly, Spiderman sensed trouble in the area and had to dash off to save the day as Andrew Garfield takes his leave and returns moments later having changed out of costume. True to the character of Peter Parker, Andrew acts oblivious but doesn’t fool the children – they know who Spider-Man is! He personally invited all the children to join him on the red carpet for the world premier of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 with their parents which was held on 10 April.
